Wahoo, I did it! I mentioned 3.5 weeks ago in my Whistler post about starting a new job and going through intensive training. Well I am pleased to report that not only did I pass each stage test with an average of 94%, I passed the final 3 exams with an average of 91.3%! I am so happy to have been able to get through it all. Tomorrow I will be starting practicum which is where we get to take calls with our tutors on standby for extra help. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I am a little nervous but I am also excited too.
Something to look forward to
If passing my exams wasn’t good enough news my girlfriend has also booked to come out and visit me in February. I am a very happy man at the moment! Next I just have to hope my holiday is approved or I can get some time off by giving a few shifts away so I can enjoy some time with her when she is out here. I have so many things I want us to do together.
Is it really that close?
One thing that is really starting to come home to me is how close Christmas is. At work today we were looking at our schedules to see if we were rostered to work Boxing Day and thankfully we have been given the day off. I can’t believe it’s a week on Friday until Christmas Day, I best get cooking some apple crumble as that’s what I am taking to my potluck Christmas meals as my contribution. Although not very Christmassy I adore apple crumble so I am very much looking forward to making it. I might even have to make some extra just to double check it tastes ok and I have some spare, haha.
Overall I am feeling very positive about life at the moment. Things seem to be falling into place and I can feel the next year has plenty of good things in store. Keep posted to see how the final few weeks of 2015 go, I’m sure there will be plenty of updates to come.
