New Years Eve
Happy New Year 2016! New Years Eve was a great experience for me. I spent the evening with a great group of friends drinking, watching fireworks, making new friends and more drinking. I hope whatever you got up to you had a great time too. Check out some of the firework display below:
New Years Day
Today has been very much a gently gently kind of day nursing the self inflicted hangover. Homemade chicken ramen, vitamin C tablets and plenty of water have been the order for the day.
I spent a good amount of time catching up with family and my girlfriend all of whom I missed last night. They are all amazing and provide such a huge amount of support. I would not have the confidence to do everything I do without them and I am forever grateful for having them in my life.
I have also spent today making improvements to this blog and planning for the forthcoming months. I have a project I am working on which I am wanting to finish in the next 1-2 months, watch this space for future announcements.
Food for thought
As this is a reflective time of year for a lot of people I thought this motivational video posted by Tyrese Gibson was quite apt and appropriate for the start of the year. I personally don’t believe in God, an afterlife or any purpose to life other than to be here and live. I have a very simple view on life as you’re born, you live, you die, you’re gone that’s it.
This year is going to be a weird year as I reach the age my father never got past. For those that have never lost a parent or person close to them where they surpass that persons years alive, this may seem like nothing much, but for me with it being such a big person in my life it is going to be strange. I vow to keep living my life, taking risks and getting the most out of every experience I can. I hope you like this video.
